  • Beyond Asana w/ Jennifer MILD

    Every Friday from January 4th to January 25th

    Join Jennifer for this 4 week series to to foster deeper states of concentration, contemplation and connection. Each session will incorporate beginner-intermediate asana, pranayama, bandha and meditation to build the resilience of your physical body, identify and clear mental “blockages” and cultivate a deeper curiosity and self inquiry.
    You do not have to have experience with advanced asana, breath work, meditative techniques etc. A relationship with Ujjayi pranayama (victorious breathing) and a regular asana practice of at least one year are advised

  • Intro to Yoga w/ Jennifer MILD

    Every Saturday from January 5th to February 9th
    2:30 PM - 3:45 PM

    New to yoga? Desiring a slower, more detailed and interactive class structure? Look no further, Intro to Yoga is for you!
    This series will help you to embody the physical practice of yoga through discussion and practice of:
    appropriate breathing
    alignment and energetics of basic standing balances, forward bends, backbends, hip mobilizers, twists etc.
    fundamentals of vinyasa (flow) or linking movement with breath
    Centering and restorative tools for rest, relaxation and self inquiry...and MORE
    Jennifer will provide appropriate modifications for you and YOUR practice, recognizing that every body is different (a beautiful thing!).
    Our intention is to build your confidence and awareness of the practice of yoga, so that by the time the series is over, you feel comfortable and empowered to attend classes and to roll out your mat at home, without feeling intimidated or lost.

    Questions and dialogue are encouraged as we hope to foster a safe and supportive environment where we can all grow and learn together as a community!

    The intention of this time together is to connect with the teacher training faculty and eachother. Come to ask questions, learn more about YAMs 200-hour teacher training program and get a sense of what you will learn and experience during your training. We will give you all the details on the schedule, curriculum, and payment plans options.

  • Self Care Immersion - Part 1 "Rolling" w/ Jennifer MILD

    Rolling, Respiration, Restorative oh my!
    Join Jennifer for this three part weekend all dedicated to the art and practice of taking care of yourself. What would happen if we paid as much attention to being kind to our bodies, hearts and minds as we do to "perfecting" them? There is so much benefit to the the ritual of simple practices done with intention. Self care does’t have to be complicated, in fact it is better if it isn’t. In each session we will take ample time to workshop each technique, discuss it’s benefits , refine it to each and every individual and then sink in to the practice. You will leave renewed and re-invigorated with a jewel box of techniques ready to support you in a practical approach to self care!

    Part 1: ROLLING. FRIDAY 6-8PM
    In this session we will work with self massage and myofascial rolling techniques and gentle focused movements to unwind tension in the tissues and bring awareness to areas of the body that don’t often get the care they need.

    Part 2: RESPIRATION. SATURDAY 10A-12P
    In this session we will work with gentle breath guided movements and supported/propped pranayama (breathing practices) to calm the nervous system, enhance circulation and bring clarity of mind.

    Part 3: RESTORATIVE. SATURDAY 1:30-3:30
    In this session we will work with specific restorative poses combined with breath work and meditation. Restorative yoga is often overlooked in our fast paced world but it is an extremely valuable skill. Even 5 minutes in a single restorative pose each day is an easy and delicious way to hit the reset button - physiologically, mentally, emotionally. Plus it just feels soooo wonderful to be supported! Come rest and digest like a pro!

    6 CEU hrs available for yoga teachers. You will learn specific propping techniques for restorative yoga, pranayama, and rolling techniques for myofascial release and more.

    $70 for all 3 sessions
