Cancellation Policy
We understand that life happens and plans change! If you need to cancel out of a workshop or series, please let us know ASAP. 
We can refund 100% of the cost if you cancel 2 weeks (or more) prior to the event. 
At 2 weeks or less until the event, a 50% refund. 
With less than 48 hours notice, there will be no refund.

    I can help. Let’s commit to get together for 6-weeks and meditate. I will teach you the basics and we will practice together. We will learn and practice two types of meditation Vipasana (one pointed meditation, for example focal point on the breath) and Metta Loving-Kindness (the use of statements to yourself and others to engender friendliness and feelings of self-compassion).

    Are you looking for the right opportunity to bring yoga into your life? Do you keep making up excuses for why you haven’t taken the first step? No more excuses. Loretta Zedella is leading this 6-week series for those who wish to bring the life enhancing practice of yoga into their world.

    A true introduction to yoga for those who have never done yoga before (or for whom it is a distant memory). This 5-week series includes fundamentals of breath awareness, proper and safe alignment in beginner yoga poses, and guidance through deep relaxation. Students learn proper technique for moving between poses as well as modifications to make all poses accessible, comfortable and safe.

    This is a unique opportunity to learn the basic principles of yoga and build a foundation for your own yoga practice that will serve you for a lifetime. It is also an excellent opportunity for more experienced yogis to review the basics. And a great way to start out the new year!

    We'll also explore the use of common yoga props and how they can enhance our movement practice. We'll discover ways yoga can help us deal with tightness and tension from modern technology such as tight hips and shoulders.

    To take this class, you must be able to get down to and up from the floor…it doesn’t have to be pretty and there are no other expectations, except a desire to learn. Don’t be afraid to try!

    *Loretta Zedella has been teaching yoga for over 17 years. She is happy to be sharing these techniques now at YAM after teaching in Ohio at colleges, studios, and employee sites.

  • Unwreck Tech Neck w/ Loretta MILD

    Does using a computer and hand-held devices create tension in your neck and upper back? Experience an increase in range of motion and a decrease of pain sensation in head, upper back, neck & jaw by using specific movement and rolling techniques. We’ll learn sequences we can each do at our workplaces. We’ll also complete rolling at the base and sides of the skull and upper back, while enjoying deep feelings of relaxation and a heightened sense of wellbeing. During this two-hour workshop we’ll focus on using specific movement and also Yoga Tune Up therapy balls to ease tension from the upper body with rolling techniques and to build resilience and lessen discomfort. We’ll also learn about the fascia- connective tissue system- and how hip tension could be related to upper body issues. Come ready to move, roll, and learn. Leave with doable tools to keep tension at bay and experience ease of body and peace of mind.

  • Restorative Yoga Sound Journey w/ Nancy & Jeremy MILD

    Join Jeremy and Nancy for a supported, breath centered Restorative Yoga practice paired with soothing and healing sounds. The fusion of sound, stillness, and breath will leave you feeling deeply relaxed and rejuvenated. The vibrational experience includes the sacred sounds of the handpan, didgeridoo, multiple gongs, chimes, crystal singing bowls and more.
    Discover the bliss of surrender as Nancy guides your journey through nurturing restorative shapes supported by blankets, bolsters and blocks. The evening will culminate with a long and inviting savasana as you allow yourself to be carried away by a deep, multi-instrumental experience with enchanting, ethereal sounds.

  • Yoga 101: 6-Week Series w/ Shari MILD

    When you’re brand new to yoga, it can feel a bit like joining a secret society where everyone knows the rules but you. On the flip side, some of us have gotten the hang of things but still feel like there’s room to fine-tune or go deeper.
    If either of these sounds like you (or anything in between), then join instructor Shari Beaubien this winter for a very special offering: YOGA 101.

    This six-week course will shed light on some of the key philosophical themes at the heart of yoga. Together we’ll discuss proper etiquette as well as gain a better understanding of the different styles of practice. Each class will include an exploration of breathwork, basic physical postures and a sampling of meditation techniques. We’ll also learn which props to use and why as we develop safe and accurate alignment.

    While drop-ins are welcome, participation in the entire series is encouraged, as each session builds upon the foundation previously laid. All levels of ability will feel
    comfortable - particularly beginning students.

    Shari is thrilled to be joining the YAM family after teaching in Los Angeles for nearly two decades. She holds her 500-hour yoga instructor credential as well as several specialty
    certifications. In addition to teaching countless public, corporate and private classes, Shari has crafted and lead a variety of workshops, day retreats and on-going weekly
    intensives.
