Tamara Bernazky-Alm, Yoga Instructor

Tamara’s love of yoga began in 2007, which quickly led her to a 200hr RYT at Joyful Yoga in Bonita Springs, FL. Tamara’s yogic studies center around Hatha Yoga, Raja Yoga and Ayurveda. Through the years, her yoga education continues through trainings and conferences from teachers such as Bo Forbes and Dharma Mittra. After moving to Hendersonville in 2014, Tamara received Level II Reiki Certification and continues to teach vinyasa, gentle and restorative yoga.  In 2017, Tamara obtained a certification in Buti Yoga and enjoys exploring the dynamic, invigorating practice.

Tamara’s education and work as a Lifestyle Medicine Registered Nurse complement her personal practice and teaching. Formal education includes an AD in nursing and bachelors in biology, psychology and nursing.  Tamara is currently enrolled in the 300hr RYT program with Asheville Yoga Center. 

In Tamara’s classes, her intention is to create an environment that aims to encourage your personal growth, support your love of yoga, but to also educate on the science of “why we practice yoga and meditation”. In addition to embodying your practice, Tamara believes that “when we understand the rationale of why we are doing what we are doing, we are more likely to integrate yoga and meditation as a meaningful, self-loving, lifelong habit for a healthy, adaptive, connected and fulfilling life.” Tamara also emphasizes the importance of self-love, non-judgment and self-awareness. Her focus is that you leave class feeling empowered and energized, but also grounded and connected.
